This 10-acre site nestled in the woodland of Brewster, New York is the emerald necklace of a community district call Blackberry Housing. The park, built in the early 70’s has become in need of major renovations and redesign. The use of the park had become outdated and a new master plan with multiple options was developed and presented to the community for their input. The park renovation committee decided to provide new water play features, eliminate one tennis court, and provide a new tennis court and a new basketball multi-purpose court. A new playground was incorporated to replace all the outdated equipment. Security was of the utmost importance in the redesign of the park. Digital video surveillance cameras and site lighting was incorporated into the master plan design to provide a safe enjoyable space for the residence of Blackberry Housing District to enjoy.
